Nick Johnson is the Communications and Administrative Manager for Carolina for Kibera, a community development non-profit organization that works in Kibera, Kenya, one of East Africa's largest informal settlements. CFK seeks to empower local leaders from Kibera and provide them with the opportunities and tools necessary to create change for themselves, their peers, and their community. Nick has been a part of the CFK team for 3 years, starting first as a communications intern before joining the staff a few months later. Nick graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May of 2013 with Bachelor's Degrees in Global Studies and Spanish, as well as a minor in Social & Economic Justice.
