Before entering academia, Dave spent most of his free time with the Sierra Club. He was National Director of their student-run arm in 1999-2000, and served six years on the Sierra Club Board of Directors (2004-2010).

Dave likes talking about the "passive democratic feedback" nonprofits can derive from their analytics. He also likes talking about his dog. If you meet him, you should ask him about both!
