Mona is the EJUSA's policy director. She holds and implements EJUSA's policy portfolio by working with staff and partners to support place-based organizing, uplifting the structural needs of community members, and advising local, state, and federal policy changes that center the needs of communities impacted by violence and historic disinvestment. She uses her expertise in community-based organizing to provide training, strategic guidance, and hands-on assistance to state legislative campaigns and organizing across the country.
